Famous Faces for the Whole Fam: Characters Kids Can Meet

At Universal Studios Hollywood, you can meet your heroes… yes, even if your hero is an occasionally less-than-heroic Minion. But the Park is also all about creating an experience for the whole family, and that means no guest goes without a chance to see one of their favorite characters face-to-face no matter their age. So while older adventurers can brave the Raptor Encounter or make memories with a Mummy, here are some world-famous faces fit for friendly photos with the whole family.

Dora the Explorer
There’s plenty to explore at Universal, but Dora and her trusty Backpack are on an adventure to discover something really special: a moment with your little explorer! ¡Fantástico!

The Minions
Let’s face it: these banana-loving assistants may not be much help when it comes to experiments, but a photo op with the whole family near Super Silly Fun Land and Despicable Me Minion Mayhem will certainly help make some exciting memories! Fans of all ages, from all over the world, will love to strike their funniest pose alongside these comedic icons.

Curious George
Generations of young readers have grown up with this lovable monkey, and today he’s roaming the Park, looking to play with new friends… like you and your curious little ones!

SpongeBob SquarePants
Are you ready to make a splash with the most fun-loving sponge under the sea? Check with Team Members to find out where SpongeBob can be found on the Upper Lot for a group photo op — and don’t forget to say “Krabby Patty!”

Scooby-Doo and Shaggy
The word you’re looking for is, “Zoinks!” Keep your eyes peeled for The Mystery Machine, because these two scaredy-cats (well, okay, one scaredy-dog, Scooby-Doo, and one scaredy-human, Shaggy) will never shy away from meeting fans of their mystery-solving!

Ask any Park employee about character appearance times and locations
The times and places you can find these famous faces can vary from day-to-day, so reach out to any Park employee for information and updates. You can also download the official Universal Studios Hollywood app to your tablet or smartphone for information on these character appearances, plus much, much more.  So tell your little ones to start practicing some poses worthy of the most famous faces in town… and remember to say “Cheese!” (Or “Banana,” or “Scooby Snacks”… whatever feels right!)
