In Tinseltown, we’ve got a saying: “It’s not what you know… it’s who you know.” And knowing a Universal Studios Hollywood™ insider means knowing some of the best tips, tricks, and life hacks behind making the most of your trip. There’s no wrong way to spend a day here, but there are ways to take it to the next level… and we’re not talking about the views from the Lower Lot Escalator (but yeah, those are awesome, too).
So before your next trip, check out 10 of the top words of wisdom from insiders in the know so you can fill your day in an exciting AND convenient way.
Hogwarts Castle

Want early entry to the Park to get the fun started ASAP? Buying your tickets online at www.UniversalStudiosHollywood.com lets you enter The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ an hour before normal Park hours, which means you can be the first to experience Hogsmeade™!  Be sure to check Park hours online or using the App prior to your visit!

Breakfast from Three Broomsticks. Eggs, Bacon, Potatoes

Start your day with a hearty breakfast at Three Broomsticks™ located in the heart of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™!  Theme Park Insider’s 2016 and 2017 Best Quick-Service Restaurant, Three Broomsticks™ offers something for the whole family to enjoy, including a Traditional English Breakfast, Continental Breakfast, American Breakfast and Eggy Bread. Reservations are not required and you can even wash down your breakfast with a mug of Butterbeer™!

Download the Official Universal Studios Hollywood™ App to your mobile device and keep it handy. It has tons of useful info, like wait times for attractions, alerts you can set to notify you when wait times are low; itineraries you can build; character appearances and show times, and so much more. You can even leave a reminder of where you parked your car! Because let’s face it: how are you supposed to remember where you parked when you have the dinos at Jurassic Park™- The Ride to think about?

Studio Tour Archway

When planning your day, try to take the Studio Tour early on—it usually takes about an hour, so you want to budget time for it. You can take food and drinks on the tour, so keep it in mind for a one-of-a-kind lunchtime option!

Stroller and Wheelchair Rental Sign

Need a place to keep your belongings during your day? Stop by Stroller, Wheelchair & Locker Rental just inside the Park for an all-day locker rental! Plus, there are additional lockers throughout the Park you can rent to keep purses, packs, and pretty much anything you don’t want to carry while experiencing your favorite attractions. Just be sure to remember your locker number!  (And if you don’t, we’ll help you out!)

Buttons for celebrations

Visiting the Park with someone celebrating a birthday, a graduation, a wedding, or coming for the first time? Guest Relations has free buttons for all of these, so add them to your outfit and announce your awesomeness to everyone!

Phone plugged into charging cable

Hey, when in Hollywood, you’ve got to catch sight of a celeb, right? EXTRA with Mario Lopez, Tanika Ray & Renee Bargh regularly films on weekdays and interviews celebrity guests in front of the Globe Fountain at the Universal Studios Hollywood™ entrance. So check the calendar for filming info!

Overlooking the lower lot

Whether you’re looking to explore the horizon or find the perfect family photo backdrop, we’ve got some great views of the surrounding Los Angeles area from the heights of the Park! Try the first landing descending from the upper to lower lot on the Star Way escalator, the railing behind Super Silly Fun Land™, or the entrance to the Studio Tour, just before the escalators down to the queue! Your selfies will thank you for it.
